Security Report July 10, 2012

These reports are translated by Yehudit Tayar and publicized by Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron with the clearance and confirmation of the IDF.  Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron is a voluntary emergency medical organization with over 500 volunteer doctors, paramedics, medics who are on call 24/7 and work along with the IDF, 669 IAF Airborn Rescue, the security officers and personal throughout Yesha and the Jordan Valley, and with MDA.

In the last few days hundreds of violent attacks were directed against IDF patrols, Border Police and civilians by Arab terrorists with rocks, fire bombs, Molotov Cocktails, rocks put on the road to force the vehicles to stop.  Security forces have responded to these murderous attacks using restraint.



July 9, 2012

Missile attack from Gaza:

1 directed towards Ein Hashlosha landed in open field near the Security Fence.

Gun fire directed from Gaza at Yad Mordechai Junction causing damage to 2 vehicles and a wall of a restaurant.

Missile fired from Gaza landed near Erez Passage

Molotov cocktail thrown at Border Police patrol near Bet Hagai in the Southern Hebron Hills.  Following search by patrol a knife was also found.

IDF Spokesman:

Rock attacks on Israeli vehicles near Betar Illilt, and near Har Gilo in the Jerusalem region causing damage to vehicles.

July 8, 2012

Arabs attack Israeli vehicles with rocks near gas station by Michmash passage.  Damage caused to 3 of the vehicles including 1 belonging to Israeli Police volunteers.  1 moderately injured Israeli evacuated for medical treatment to Mt. Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem. 1 Israeli moderately injured in arm given medical treatment on the spot.

July 6, 2012

IDF soldier moderately injured in his shoulder when attacked by Arabs with rocks near Neve Zuf in the Benjamin Region, and was evacuated by the IDF unit vehicle to Mt. Scopus Hospital in Jerusalem for medical treatment.

Arabs threw 2 Molotov cocktails and gas grenade at Border Police near Betuniya, Ramallah.
