Minister of State for Media Affairs Mohammad Momani on Tuesday condemned an Israeli decision to allow a Passover Sacrifice celebration by Jewish settlers [all Jews are "settlers"?]near Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Momani blamed the Israeli government for its “provocative and unacceptable practices [carried out] for well-known intentions” [assumptions].He said that Israel, as the occupying power, must comply with its responsibilities under international and humanitarian laws related to the safety and sanctity of Al Aqsa Mosque/Al Haram Al Sharif [well, which is it? and which is also the Temple Mount which Jordan never applied any law to as a Jewish site] and any Waqf properties in Jerusalem, including the Umayyad palaces [which Israeli archaeologists uncovered and preserved, not Jordan before 1967] south of the mosque where the celebration was organised on Monday, stressing that the venue fall under the jurisdiction of the Jerusalem Awqaf Department.Momani stressed that Israel must cease all such acts that offend Muslims worldwide [do Jews worldwide have a right to be offended?] and would only feed religious conflict and extremism in the region [just who is feeding extremism?].In a related development, Momani expressed the government’s absolute rejection of a ruling issued by an Israeli court in Jerusalem, allowing Jews to pray outside the gates of Al Haram Al Sharif. He said that the government does not recognise any authority of Israeli courts in occupied Eastern Jerusalem, whose affairs are governed by to the provisions of the international law. Also on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a diplomatic note of protest to the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs for organising [if only] the said celebration.
See how reality is twisted and messaging becomes sinister and lethal?
And just by the way, this also happened yesterday:
His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday reaffirmed Jordan's constant support of the churches of Jerusalem and protecting the Christian community in the Holy Land...the King reiterated Jordan's firm position in defending the historical and legal status of Jerusalem, which respects coexistence and the churches' administration of their property.
During the meeting, attended by HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammed, the King's chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy, His Majesty pointed out that the focus on Jerusalem as an issue of interfaith dialogue, human rights or security should not be at the expense of the just requirement that East Jerusalem is the capital of the Palestinian state.
I don't think Jordan's rejection of Jewish rights at Judaism's most sacred site cause a violation of the 1994 Peace Treaty which, in Article 9, assures interfaith dialogue, human rights and security.
