"Pro-Israel" J Street Is Not Pro-Israel Says a Founder

Lori Lowenthal Marcus writes here:

"Maybe, if this collective Jewish presence" -- that is, the Jewish State in the Middle East -- "can only survive by the sword, then Israel really ain't a good idea." So said Daniel Levy, one of J Street's founders, at the 2011 J Street Conference. You can hear him, and the lack of any objection from even one of the 2000-strong audience, here, at 1:26:15 on the J Street Conference video, on J Street's own website.

Not a good idea?

Survival?

And if the best Levy can do is suggest that Israel's anxiety - not it's security which will still require the IDF which should nopt be disbanded - will be resolved if another people gets its freedom, well, they had their chances at freedom and all they are interested in is Israel's extinction either through war, terror and violence or through new insecure borders, a 'right of return' and then more terror.

Maybe J Street "really ain't a good idea"?

He is right. Violence is no recipe for sustainability. Get out of "shiloh" for starters. Start thinking Jewish values, not Zionism.

Few if any countries exist without the sword, certainly not in the ME. Most other ME countries have to use their swords on their own people to exist. Only Israel uses its sword on its own people in order to limit its existence, e.g., Gilad Farm. May you have more courageous leaders soon and bring Jewish values to the whole of Judea and Shomron. Those arabs who do not wish to be civilised, offer them compensation and show them the door.

@Anon 7:36

a) does every country under threat have to yield?

b) don't forget, Arab terror not only pre-dated 1967 and the "occupation", before even one "settlement" was established, it pre-dated the state.

c) Zionism is Judaism, silly. לך-לך get thee to the Land, - starting from Abraham, continuing the exodus from Egypt and then to Ezra and the return from Babylon, that's what Jews do as part of theior Judaism, ascend to to Land.

Obviously "J Street" is neither a "good idea," nor "Pro-Israel!" A Palestinian state under the present circumstances is not a real possibility, until it ceases to be a threat to Israel! The lack of willingness on the part of the Palestinian Authority and the refusal of Hamas to consider a peaceful resolution to the conflict under any circumstances justifies the continued "occupation" of Judea and Samaria, which are historically Israeli lands! If Palestinians prefer the status-quo to a negotiated peace settlement, then they must accept the outcome of that decision!

This is clearly out of context. Why not post a little more of what was said before and after that comment? It seems like he was about to say "BUT..."
