Low-Intensity Conflict Report August 9, 2012 #38


These reports are translated and publicized by Yehudit Tayar for Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron with the clearance and confirmation of the IDF.  Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron is a voluntary emergency medical organization with over 500 volunteer doctors, paramedics, medics who are on call 24/7 and work along with the IDF, 669 IAF Airborn Rescue, the security officers and personal throughout Yesha and the Jordan Valley, and with MDA.

In the last few days hundreds of violent attacks were directed against IDF patrols, Border Police and civilians by Arab terrorists with rocks, fire bombs, Molotov Cocktails, rocks put on the road to force the vehicles to stop.  Security forces have responded to these murderous attacks using restraint.

Israeli Police Force allows us to release the following information:

The Secret Service arrested a Hamas Terror Cell in the Ramallah Region this June.  2 of the terrorists admitted to partaking in the lynch of 2 IDf soldiers in 12.10.00 in Ramallah.  (Reminder of the incident the 2 reservist soldiers, Private First Class Vadim Zorvitz, and First Seargant Yossi Avraham HY"D  accidently entered the PA controlled area of Ramallah, and were brutally lynched by the Arabs there after being tortured.)

Border policeman injured by Arabs towards morning when attacked by rocks in Issowiya Jerusalem Region, the policeman was evacuated for medical treatment to the hospital.

Also Border police patrol was attacked by fire crackers fired upon them in Issowiya.

IDF allows us to release the following information:

3 Terror rings comprised of Israeli Arabs were arrested after they smuggled explosives into Lebanon from the Israeli-Lebanese Border.  14 Israeli Arabs from Ma'gar and Natzeret smuggled over 20 kilo dynamite into Lebanon to be handed over to the Hizballa to allow them to perpetrate terror attacks against Israel.

Massive attacks by Arabs with rocks in the following areas:

Police car attacked near Silwad village

Israeli vehicle attacked near Kfar Duma causing damage to the windows.

Husan near Betar Illit Israeli vehicle attacked and windows damaged.

Mistakenly Arab car attacked near Halhul when the Arab terrorists who attacked thought it was an Israeli vehicle.

Near El Arub on the Gush Etzion-Hebron Highway Arabs attack Israeli vehicles with rocks.

Near Karnei Shomron Arabs attack Israeli vehicles with rocks.

Near Sin'jal in the Benjamin Region Israeli bus damaged by the massive attack.

Near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron Arab attacked IDF soldier.  The attacker was arrested, the soldier was fortunately uninjured.

Gush Etzion-Hebron Highway Arabs attack Israeli vehicles with rocks near Bet Umar causing damage.

Bet Umar Gush Etzion there was a funeral of one of the residents of the village and hundreds of Arabs attacked Israeli vehicles with rocks.
