I favor the establishment of a Palestinian state, but only if the Palestinian leadership negotiates such a state with Israel and rejects terrorism.
I think that since the Arabs have always predicated their opposition to Zionism and the internationally legal sanctioned reconstitution of the Jewish national home in Eretz-Yisrael on a complete negation of such an idea and through a campaign of violent terrorism, and have continued to do so throughout 90 years of negotiations, that they do not deserve a future option of "only if...". I even think they will never surrender the option of terror no matter what arrangements are agreed.
I think 90 years is enough.
They do not deserve a state.

Two comments why I would disagree with Prof. Dershowitz:
a) as we say in Hebrew, davka because of Arab violence & terror since 1920 (and not 1929) despite offers of territorial compromise & statehood, they do not deserve a state besides the fact they they probably will not surrender their campaign of violence.
b) if he favors statehood for Arabs of the former Mandate for Palestine so that Jewish civilian communities can be removed, will he favor removal of Arab settlements in Israel or is that removal a sign of implacable Arab racism against Jews which will mean no peace, ever?
