Oh, So There Was An Extreme Left in Israel

This is a clipping from the Mapam daily, Al HaMishmar, from September 26, 1948:

It was published a week after the Bernadotte assassination and the item is a complaint.

It seems that the Daily Telegraph lumped the "extreme left in Israel" together the Lechi and that that camp, too, should have similar steps of restriction and prohibition taken against them.

I'm just wondering - was Mapam and/or the Palmah the "extreme left"?

The real kick?

The report was by none other than Simcha Flapan. The "New Outlook" Flapan.
