Brayer's Braying

Lynda Burstein Brayer, a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law, is a radical political and legal commentator who practiced human rights law in Palestine/Israel representing Palestinians in their struggles against house demolitions, land theft, and family destruction and in their efforts to obtain travel permits for health, study and family reasons. Not as radical as what was built upon an express rejec­tion of interna­tional law.

In 1948 the majority of the General Assembly and the Security Council rejected multiple propososals to ask the international court for an advisory opinion on the legality of a partition recommendation. They knew that they were rejecting international law.
