Muslims & Jews Competing - for Christians

I have two comments on this story about who gets the most number of baptisers:-

At the heart of the complex are the ruins of five churches built over a period of 700 years. Beneath one of them is a baptismal pool in the shape of a cross, for the Jordanians a clinching piece of evidence that they are the custodians of the place where Christ was baptised.

...The Jordanians are trying to recapture some of the sense of that today by encouraging Christian denominations to build new churches and monasteries.

1. Glad to see some respect for freedom of worship and religious beliefs. Would that extend to the Temple Mount.

2. I don't think a baptismal pool in the shape of a cross is proof of the exact location except to be the location where later on, authorities presumed that this was the place. Tens of thousands perhaps came there but one never knows.

Of course, if it's good enough for the Jordanians, then we have a good few places of our own Judaistic history about which the Muslims shouldn't be arguing with us.
