Shooing Obama Away .. From the Temple Mount

And over on the Temple Mount:
Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil, a Hamas leader...told Quds Press that the visit would pressure the Palestinians not the Israelis, and warned of the possible Obama visit to the Aqsa mosque. He said that such a visit would be more dangerous than that of former Israeli premier Ariel Sharon back in 2000 that ignited the Aqsa intifada. He explained that the visit would give international legitimacy to occupation.

But this is puzzling:

The Secretary of the Royal Commission of Jordan for Jerusalem Affairs Dr. Abdullah Kanaan canceled the visit of U.S. President Barack Obama to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, so as not to desecrate the al-Aqsa mosque by having Jews accompany the Obama event.  Kanaan said the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdul Salam Abbadi told him that the agenda of Obama's visit to Jerusalem was changed by him, and that he would not visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Resurrection, fearing the wrath of the Palestinians, and the outbreak of the events of the moment he arrived to Al-Aqsa Mosque, accompanied by Israeli soldiers or American.

Why would Jordan wish to get involved.

Unless it's a sham?  Trying to implicate Jordan?

Here is a description, false, of the situation on the Mount fro a Sheik Barikat:

deterioration through...attempts of Israelization by the Israeli government...in fabricating riots, and provocation among youth gatherings, and their continued excavations conducted under the Far (Al-Aqsa) mosque Far, and military exercises by the Israeli army in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque...their preparations military on Fridays during late Friday prayers to provoke worshipers...and intrusions repeated for the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, which began individually and now incursions take on a State character...

And another funny-if-it-wasn't-so-sad-and-ridiculous story:

The Jerusalem Committee of the Federation of Arab Doctorsprotested in front of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Wednesday to deliver the State Department statement of protest against the U.S. President's visit to occupied Jerusalem...The Committee called on U.S. President Barack Obama not to give U.S. cover for the practices of the occupation as he did before his visit to the Wailing Wall and the Zionists claim that the Western Wall and worn Jewish skullcap in reference to its full support for them.
