Islamist Marching Feet (and Watch Out for Flying Stones)

I've alerted you to this fundamentalist Islamist initiative earlier this year (and in years past):

Spokesman for the global march to Jerusalem Zaher Al-Berawi said that all preparations are in place to launch the global march in more than 40 countries on Friday on the 46th anniversary of the occupation of all parts of Jerusalem...He said that the rallies in Gaza would move after the Friday prayers towards the closest point to the occupied Palestinian lands in the north, expressing hope that Gaza would be a good exemplar for other participating cities. He pointed out that there would be also sit-ins and rallies in occupied Jerusalem and its vicinity to confirm the Arab and Islamic identity of the holy city and protest the Israeli Judaization measures against it.

Well, the US Consulate is paying attention as I received this::

Security Message for U.S. citizens:  Demonstrations

The U.S. Consulate General in Jerusalem advises U.S. citizens that due to potential demonstrations and traffic congestion on Friday, June 7, the Old City of Jerusalem is off-limits to U.S. Government personnel that day. In addition, personal travel by U.S. Government employees to Jericho and Bethlehem has also been restricted on that day. Transiting Routes 1, 90, and 443 through the West Bank remains permissible for U.S. Government employees. U.S. citizens are advised to defer non-essential travel to and within the West Bank and the Old City of Jerusalem and to exercise an extra measure of caution.

The U.S. Consulate General takes this opportunity to remind U.S. citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. U.S. citizens should avoid areas of demonstrations, and exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.

Review your personal security plans; remain aware of your surroundings, including local events; and monitor local news stations for updates. Maintain a high level of vigilance and take appropriate steps to enhance your personal security and follow instructions of local authorities.

It might be useful to highlight this US security alert as responding to virtual political event seen only on the web. A digital version of crying wolf.
