Maps of the Conflict

Found some old material and I thought the maps looked great, so here you are:

I notice many people (across the political spectrum) referring to "Ottoman Palestine". I suggest they start saying "Ottoman Syria" as that was the name of the province. I'm still trying to wrap my head around what was a wilayet and what was a sanjak.

Isn't the topography threat outdated since Israel has an air force?

I'm not suggesting that Israel surrender the territories, but it's not like Tzahal will have to march up the Golan on horseback.
