the Nobel citation declares that Mr. Obama's "diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population."
Majority?
That is patently untrue and unsubstantiated.
And it is a foolish declaration on the part of the Norwegian Prize Committee members.
And as a NYTimes letter writer, Judith Pasternak, observed:
President Obama is the first recipient of the Peace Prize to be waging two wars at the very moment of the announcement of the award.
