A Principled Media Theme

One Fred Silverman of Bedford Hills, N.Y., a documentary filmmaker and president of Issues TV, deals with a basic journalistic ethics issue:-

Even after years of deregulation, broadcasters are still required to operate in the public’s interest.

Turning over our airwaves for partisan propaganda is not operating in the public interest.

If only we had some nonpartisan government officials who would enforce these laws.
