It has been reported that Islamic group has protested Pamela Anderson’s disaster help:
Actress and model Pamela Anderson has donated...to an Indonesian charity that helps disaster victims, but the funds have been questioned by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) because they come from Anderson’s latest Playboy nude photo shoot.
IDF’s Jakarta chairman, Habib Salim Alatas, described the donation as unlawful. “If she wants to do nude shoots, it means she is challenging a bigger disaster to happen in Indonesia. It’s not allowed,” Salim said, explaining that even though Anderson has donated the funds “whole-heartedly,” IDF would refuse the aid because it is a religious prohibition.
“I’ve just shot another Playboy cover that will debut in January for Hugh Hefner, at his request – I adore him,” Anderson had previously stated on her website. “Playboy and I decided to do this, so I could donate earnings from the shoot to Waves for Water.”
“It’s an amazing group that supplies water filters to countries that are in need of clean drinking water. It has already made a huge difference in Indonesia, Pakistan and Haiti. I’m so honored to work with Playboy again to support this life altering cause!” she added.
I want to make clear:
a. the IDF there has nothing to do with Israel's Defense Forces - unless they begin attacking Israelis.
b. this has nothing to do with the One Israel Fund contributions of special folding water canteen for Israel soldiers (see here)
c. Pamela Anderson has been in Israel but has not made any donations to the real IDF, that I know of.

Pamela Anderson has been left shaken up after a minor accident in Tel Aviv, Israel. The actress/model was on her way to meet the celebrity contestants taking part in the country's upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" show, which she will guest on this week , when her chauffeur-driven BMW collided with a concrete post in a parking structure on the set of the program.
Anderson was quickly transferred to another vehicle and driven to her destination. A source tells WENN, "She was a little shaken but uninjured."
Earlier on Sunday, November 7, the former "Baywatch" babe, who competed on the American version of the hit show last year, appeared at a press conference at the Dan Hotel in Tel Aviv with her dance partner, Australian Damian Whitewood. She told reporters she had been planning a trip to Israel for many years, explaining "My good friend David Lachapelle was just here - his exhibit is still up at the Museum of Contemporary Art - and he had the most fantastic time."
"We don't get to hear about all the wonderful things in Israel, and just looking out my window here at the hotel and seeing the beautiful beach, my goodness, it's gorgeous! I'm sure I'll be going back (to the U.S.) with raving reviews."
Pamela Anderson said Sunday she has a political agenda to push while she competes in Israel's version of "Dancing with the Stars."
An honorary director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), Anderson, the former "Baywatch" beauty and ex-wife of Kid Rock, told the Associated Press that she intends to speak about the issue of fur to religious leaders while she is there.
"There are so many alternatives to things," Anderson said. "We can be compassionate in our choices."
Anderson said she hopes she can inspire movement on an antifur bill that has been put on hold in Israel over concerns by ultra-Orthodox leaders that it could affect production of the customary fur hats worn by some men from Hassidic sects on holidays and other festive occasions.
