The Three Gentlemen of the 1930 Western Wall Commission

Following the 1929 riots, the British appointed an "international committee" to investigate "the question of the rights and claims of the Jews and Moslems with regard to the Wailing Wall urgently calls for final settlement" .

The report text is here.

And here are the members of the Commission who sailed for Mandate Palestine on June 13, 1930 and arrived on the June 19th, staying for one month:

and they are:

ELIEL LÖFGREN (center), formerly Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Member of the Upper Chamber of the Swedish Riksdag (to act as Chairman), CHARLES BARDE (left), Vice-President of the Court of Justice at Geneva, President of the Austro-Roumanian Mixed Arbitration Tribunal, and J. VAN KEMPEN (right*), formerly Governor of the East Coast of Sumatra, Member of the States-General of the Netherlands (so far, I have been unsuccessful in identifying them).
