Subject: Gavri Bargil lecture, Thurs 13, 1800, LSE
Dear all,
We thought you may be interested to know of an event on Thursday that should prove well worth attending:
Gavri Bargil will be speaking at LSE (Room H102 – nearest Tube: Holborn; click here for a map), at 1800.
After serving as a brigade commander in the Israel Defence Forces, Mr Bargil was General Director of the Kibbutz Movement in Israel from 2000 – 2009.
In 1988, at the outbreak of the Intifada, Mr Bargil joined Peace Now as an activist, and soon after, he assumed the position of Peace Now Executive Director. He was involved in co-directing, with Ziad Abu Ziad, the Israeli-Palestinian Information Centre for Peace.
In addition, between 1996-1999 Mr Bargil was the head representative of the Kibbutz Artzi movement in North America, and political representative of Meretz and Peace Now.
He’s clearly a hugely interesting man, and we’d like to see a good turnout at his talk – do please attend if you can, and spread the word.
Regards,
Shual
