Naomi Ofen and Ayelet Hacohen, the wives of Neria Ofen and Akiva Hacohen - who are exiled from Judea and Samaria by military orders - were arrested with all of their children around 6:00 p.m. Monday as they handed out flyers in the eastern Binyamin-region Jewish community of Kfar Adumim. They were arrested on suspicion of incitement, including Tzion Ofen and Benayahu Hacohen, both of whom are two months old.
On the flyers was written, "Our father is not a terrorist. Aleph expelled our father from our home as if he was a terrorist." Aleph is a kippah-wearing member of the Jewish Division of the Shabak Israel Security Agency who is behind the issuing of orders banishing activists from Judea and Samaria. Neria and Akiva were banished on "suspicion of illegal activities" although no criminal charges were filed. Repeated requests to stop the orders and to put them on trial have gone unanswered.
