Huh?

Ehud Olmert (see above), Statement #1:-

"We cannot sit and not respond to the Qassam rocket fire."

Ehud Olmert, Statement #2:-

“I am determined to continue on the path to the convergence idea, as the strongest idea for moving events forward in the Middle East.

“I have not changed my mind over the past few days regarding the convergence plan, and I am determined to continue on my road to the ultimate separation from the Palestinians, and to attain secure borders that will be recognized by the international community."

Now, perhaps you understand the problem Israel faces?

There is an inherent difficulty with this man's thinking processes.

A. Until the soldier Gilad Shalit was captured/kidnapped, Kassams fell and Israel's response was inadequate, not to say impotent. It was an unwilling response, restricted by diplomatic constraints.

He most certainly did not respond as he/Israel should have over the past few months and as part of the government of Ariel Sharon, he is responsible for its failing this past year until his own election.

B. And as a fool, he insists to persist in pursuing his own folly of realignment which has proved itself no response at all to the issues that he considers important, not to mention my feelings on the subject.
