IDF fires more than 300 artillery shells at northern Gaza Strip
Israel Defense Forces artillery batteries launched over 300 shells towards targets in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday. The artillery fire came in response to Palestinians' launching of four Qassam rockets towards the Negev in the morning hours.
The artillery shelling continued until the late evening.
The new defense minister, Sderot resident Amir Peretz, commented Monday on the artillery fire.
"Every night I count the artillery shells that the IDF shoots," Peretz told the IDF General Staff. "You should know that there is someone counting."
So,
A. Did we hit anything?
B. Oh, he can count? Does he read, too?
