There's no point in questioning Haaretz. Former Prime Minister Menachem Begin once said the newspaper was pro-government -- until 1948. Just a few days ago, one of the paper's writers wrote that Israel is crueler to its Arab residents than any of the Arab neighbor countries. Syria, for example.
