Shortly after 1:30 Wednesday morning, police got a call from a man who was disoriented and dehydrated on Shiloh Mountain, off Green Creek Road in southern Albemarle County. The man was lost in the woods. Rescue crews used his cell phone signal to find him.
"His cell phone enabled us to be able to get to him or at least narrow it down to at least a half mile location of where he was and then it was just man power intensive to get to him," said Timmy Cersley, with the Scottsville Fire Department.
The man was rescued shortly after 6:00 AM. He suffered minor cuts and bruises and was treated at the scene.
