Two brief comments:
a) growing up in NY in the 1950s, any kid remembers the beat cop twirling his club and so we never reached a stage of detention for the most part but nevertheless, it is obvious that B'tselem manipulated the story by basically trying to deny the right of preventing disorder, violent behavior and damage being caused to security personnel who have the responsibility to do so, 5-year old or not;
b) Ms. Montell's argumentation "they did/we can/why not?", is the very line she always argues against when used by Israelis but when it suits her purposes, she has no compunctions to employ it. Shame.
