Mashaal on Saturday reiterated his movement’s refusal to “give up one inch of the land of Palestine.” Mashaal, who arrived in the Gaza Strip for the first time ever on Friday, said: “Palestine from the river to the sea, from the north to the south, is our land and we will never give up one inch or any part of it." Item:

Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal and prime minister Ismail Haniyeh visited the sister of late president Yasser Arafat on Sunday...Hamas official Izzat al-Rishiq said the visit was impressive and provided an opportunity for Hamas leaders to meet members of Arafat's family, as well as Fatah leaders Zakariya al-Agha and Hisham Abdul-Raziq.

Item:

A senior Fatah official said that Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal's speech in Gaza on Saturday was "very positive." Azzam al-Ahmad told Ma'an that Mashaal's speech reflected the contents a reconciliation deal.."In order to implement this, we should quickly activate the work of the election commission which was stopped in July," al-Ahmad said.

Do you get my point?  The thrust of my highlighting what we face?
