A "Neo-Stalinist Charlatan"

Dr. Daniel Gordis had his impressions of Asa Kasher's Zalman Bernstein Memorial Address last week.

I most recall Kasher referring to a university academic who wrote a book claiming the Jewish people didn't exist as

a neo-Stalinist charlatan

I wonder to who Kasher was referring?
