What is simple is asking what was/were the problem(s) that held up direct negotiations for nine months while Israel had suspended construction in the Yesha communities? Why did Abbas stall?
For if what is now threatening to wreck things is the expiration of the suspension and the renewal of building, why didn't talks begin back in October or November or December?
Think about that.
