Sorry, But It Makes No Sense

In July, the headline was

Obama loses drilling moratorium appeal

Now, it's a different moratorium he is trying to win:

Obama:-

“What I’ve said to Prime Minister Netanyahu is that given, so far, the talks are moving forward in a constructive way, it makes sense to extend that moratorium,” in remarks that took some administration officials by surprise...the politics for Prime Minister Netanyahu, if he were to extend the settlements moratorium, would be a little bit easier,”

According to the VOA, it went this way:

"What I've said to Prime Minister Netanyahu is that given, so far, the talks are moving forward in a constructive way, it make sense to extend that moratorium so long as the talks are moving in a constructive way," he said. "Because ultimately, the way to solve these problems, is for the two sides to agree [on] what is going to be Israel, what's going to be the state of Palestine. And if you can get that agreement, you can start constructing anything the people of Israel see fit."

Now, besides all my personal ideology and politics, and residency location in Shiloh. I ask but one question:

if it took not only nine months a construction suspension to bring Abbas to the table but heavy Obama pressure, why should the suspension continue? It didn't help. And all indications are that Abbas has in place a racist program of ethnic cleansing: No Jews Allowed.

This is not peace so why go this way?

It makes no sense.
