Doing Jewish Things Naturally

As of December 31, 2009, there were 296,7000 Jews in Yesha. That's the official figure.

That's an absolute increase of 15,000 over the previous year.

That must be a awful lot of Jews to get the Arabs and Americans so riled.

But it is the most natural thing for Jews to do in their homeland: reside, give birth, plant crops, raise children and educate them, build new homes, reconstitute former homes.

Yaakov Faitelson collected some stats.

Seems in the PNA, fertility is at 3.12 which a 24% decrease as it was 4/1 in 1999. That's lower than Israeli Arabs, at 3.5 children per woman.

Jewish fertility is 5.06, 62% higher.
