Here's a BBC headline that sounds more than a bit awkward...
Too small to read?
Let's see if we can figure out what the editor of this story had in mind, or was he out of his mind?
a) Was she dead before they they shot her dead?
b) Were her arms dead, or at least one of them dead?
c) Does the BBC consider this a new war crime category: shooting dead dead women?
Any grammarians out there who can help?

Obviously, Mr. Medad, in Britain it would be considered absurd to think that a Palestinian person, much less a woman, would go around firing weapons at IDF soldiers. This clearly does not fit into the vilify Israel editor's handbook of the BBC. So, like any good headline writer would do, he must make Israel the villian and the Palestinian the victim (even if she shot first)--but it just doesn't make for very good grammar.
Thank you.
Tragedy happened once again and you are picking on words.
And she was only 16 years old Basma Awal al-Nadri, a Bedouin high school student and we can only wonder what her story is and what made her pick up the gun and head to the Israeli base.
I just hope she didn't suffer abuse and sought a way out.
Oh comon, you don't believe what you just said yourself, do you?
THis is obviously an attempt of a revenge since she fired at Israeli police.
If there was an abuse it's from Israeli.
Could be that ISraeli killed her loved ones or relative, or improsoned her family member etc etc.

All four of your sources outline that the main reason for these women to give up their lives is to fight against Israel's oppression.
"The paramedic was angered by seeing children shot and killed during confrontations in Ramallah, she said."
"1) the consequences of the on-going Palestinian conflict with Israel upon the every day lives of these female terrorists; (2) how the four strands of race/ethnicity, religion, gender, and Israel’s occupation of Palestine work simultaneously to produce female terrorists and human bombers; (3) how gender entrapment’s impacts upon Palestinian women’s acquiring their identities as terrorists and suicide bombers; and lastly, (4) Palestinian female terrorists’ responses to being labeled as terrorists, shameful women, or as legitimate revolutionaries or freedom fighters."
You want to stop the bloodshed? Stop the oppression of Palestine.
