The shouting and chanting, in a repetitive, almost frightening mindless fashion of the Obama crowd in Chicago of the slogan "Yes, We Can" was, on my television set, too reminiscent of other places around the world and other periods of history.
It was, for me, quite an uncomfortable experience to watch and to hear.

I thought the same thing. All I heard was Seig Heil.

Channel 2 News, in the regular news broadcast tonight, produced a segment showing people all over the world in complete adulation to Obama - chanting "Obama, Obama" and "Yes we can, yes we can...". Channel 2 News titled the segment: "HaMelech HaOlam"...
In a conversation tonight with a friend, I suggested that Obama is either the Messiah (which he isn't) or the last false messiah (just before we greet Eliyahu...). At least, that's how it feels; after all, he's going to save the world, don't you know... so let's all rally round and cheer... splat!
78% of jewish americans voted for a man that has embraced the most virulently public anti-semite in Farrakhan and in Jeremiah Wright. I find it shocking that my brothers in the flesh don't seem to understand why Israel is on the map or that it is even there.
When they showed the crowds when he visited Germany, that's when that imagery first struck me. I haven't been able to watch him since.
I think the picture that you included is offensive and unfair.

Why?
It is what was the reality. And I wrote it was reminiscent. It's like "pornography is in the mind of the beholder", no?
