SHILOH, Ill. (AP) - A two-story brick farm house in the Metro East with outbuildings dating to the 1860s has a selling price of just a dollar, but there's a catch -- they buyer has to move it.
The old house near Shiloh is surrounded by new housing or land meant for more homes or businesses. Tamar Development is trying to save it, but without a buyer it will be torn down.
Anne Haaker of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency says the buyer has to agree to move the house to a new site and renovate it there.
