Arab media is within its right to use strong language, and it is the special role of Palestinian media to use that language to show the suffering of the Palestinian people, said Commander of the Palestinian Security Services Adnan Ad-Dimeiri at a special workshop on “Palestine in the Media” Wednesday.
The workshop was held in Ramallah at the Red Crescent headquarters and addressed the role of Arab media and its relationship with the ruling system.
...What Palestinian media must push forward, he said, is the adoption of one key word: “Occupation” that is still left out of most news reports even in moderate national media.
So, as head of the security services, he sees information links with the media as a...strategic issue?
P.S.
Hasbara is the Hebrew-language term for public diplomacy/information service
