Okay, So Who Is Bush's Speechwriter?

Here's one line from President Bush's speech last night at Peres' President's Conference in Jerusalem-

"As we celebrate the anniversary, it is useful to look back at the story of your founding...In these accomplishments, we see the visionary leadership of men and women like Herzl and Weizmann and Ben-Gurion and Golda Meir and Rabin and Sharon -- and we honor each of them this evening."

What happened to men like Jabotinsky? Like Begin? Like Shamir? Like Netanyahu?

Well, as he didn't mention Olmert in this context, maybe we have to be satisfied for little things.

YES - when I read that last night late, I immediately thought, "and Jabotinsky? and Begin?"

But we have to remember that Bush did NOT research or write his speech - it's his speech writers (and they probably had research help from Condi's boys) that, I think quite obviously, left out the greatest leaders we have had.
