Being a Nitpicker

In this London Times' story by Gregg Carlstrom, of February 6 , I found this wording on Bet El, that it:

was founded in 1977 by religious settlers drawn by its biblical significance: they believe that it is where Jacob had his dream of angels ascending and descending a ladder to Heaven.

Now, I am sure many, if not all of the founders, and I just happen to know a few, do believe that.  But I feel that the wording as appears is a bit shallow and does not do justice.

We (I live at Shiloh, as you all know) reside in these areas because they are both undeniablly part and parcel of the heartland of the historic homeland of the Jewish people for over 3000 years, no matter what UNESCO may decide, as well as a region within which the League of Nations decided (after Balfour, after Versailles, after San Remo) the Jews had a superior political right to reconstitute our national home and where we had the right to close settlement on the land, despite what a Security Council may decide.

In none of those documents, discussions and deliberations were Arabs mentioned as having equal political rights but rather "non-Jews" which included many peoples living in the area and of different religions and ethnic backgrounds.  The Palestine Mandate was for the Jews.

Our rights in this post-1967 era, after partition plans were rejected, after Arabs launched aggressive wars against Israel, maintained a boycott since the Mufti decided in 1931 (and renewed in 1945 by the League of Nations) and constantly engaged in terrorism no matter what the border configurations were is both historical, religious, cultural and legal.
