Spiegel Confounds Me

Steven L. Spiegel is a professor of political science and director of the Center for Middle East Development at UCLA and national scholar at Israel Policy Forum.

The IPF wasn't far-left enough and so we have J Street.

His opinion about Obama is that

The facts speak for themselves. Anyone concerned with Israel's survival as a Jewish state should stop criticizing Obama's policies.

Really?
Facts?

Like?

He suggest like this:-

Freezing settlement construction does not impede Israeli security. The president was not calling for dismantling any settlements. He was only looking for an Israeli confidence-building measure, and, of course, settlement construction can be unfrozen if talks go poorly.

That is unbelievable.

He really thinks that the 'frozen' can be unfrozen? That a President like Obama who insists the Jewish civilian residential communities in Judea and Samaria are "illegitimate" would agree to that?

Is Spiegel an idiot or an Obama running-dog?
