He claims

 I’ve never had any political, touch wood, interference at all.

Do non-Jews use the phrase "touch wood"?

Only non-Jews do... because it refers to the wood of Yoshke's cross, I believe.

a) actually, I have heard too many Jews use it, from family to friends.
