For example, this story from Maan:-
Part of Israel's separation wall surrounding a settlement in the West Bank district of Bethlehem will soon be dismantled, the Israeli military announced Thursday.
The barrier, made of concrete blocks, was erected during the Second Intifada in 2002, following Israel's decision to construct a separation wall blocking off West Bank access to Israel.
In a statement, the military said the wall was built as an effort to protect residents of Gilo, an illegal Israeli settlement in the West Bank district of Bethlehem, from Palestinian snipers in Beit Jala.
The army says the decision was a “result of the stable security situation in the area.”
An Israeli military spokeswoman said the structure being dismantled was part of the separation wall.
But is isn't part of the "separation wall". It is just to help deflect those bullets that came from the direction of the Manger's town.
Don't believe me? Check out the IDF Spokesperson's site.

Yes, it has NOTHING to do with the rest of the security fence... while the writer says it was erected "following Israel's decision to construct a separation wall blocking off West Bank access to Israel," the truth is, it was put up, very quickly I might add, when Arabs from primarily the Hevron area, infiltrated Christian homes in Beit Jala and began firing on houses in Gilo.
FYI - bloggers here with the "Trip of a Lifetime" tour sponsored by Stand With Us were just there the other day to have a look and a briefing by the IDF Spokesperson's office.
A challenge - try making this sort of comment on the page of that Maan report... should make for "interesting" reading!
