Is There A Doctor in the Wedding Hall?

Aviva Yaffa Androphy, a daughter of Nancy R. Androphy and Rabbi L. Ronald Androphy of East Meadow, N.Y., and Evan Seth Marlin, the son of Bebby Marlin and Dr. Arthur E. Marlin of St. Petersburg, Fla., were married New Year’s Eve. The bride’s father, the leader of the East Meadow Jewish Center, performed the ceremony there, with Rabbi Aryeh Scheinberg taking part.

Mrs. Marlin, 25, is a candidate for a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Yeshiva University, from which she also received a master’s degree. She graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis.

Her mother teaches at the East Meadow Jewish Center’s religious school.

Mr. Marlin, 26, is a fourth-year medical student at New York University. He graduated from Columbia.

The bridegroom’s mother, a retired registered nurse, worked in San Antonio. His father, a neurosurgeon, is a professor of neurological surgery at the University of South Florida in Tampa and practices at several hospitals that are affiliated with the university.
