Fort Hood Shooter Identified As a Major
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
Hmmm.
Malik Nadal Hasan. Just a Major?
Not Muslim?
Not of Palestinian descent?
Tsk, tsk, Charles.
See:
He attended the Muslim Community Center in Silver Spring and is devout, according to Faizul Khan, former imam at the center. He attended prayers at least once a day, seven days a week, often in his Army fatigues, Khan said.See:
Hasan is an American citizen of Palestinian descent

This is depressing. Someone in our yishuv has recently decided to honor my husband's 20 (rampage-free) years in the US military by referring to him as "The Major." Isn't there ANYTHING the bad guys can avoid screwing up?
And what's WITH LGF lately, anyway?
a) no, they can mess up anything.
b) maybe he was a sleeper lefty. he's thrown hundreds of people off his blog including me and has swerved left. maybe he's taking something. after all, he is a jazz player.
Hmmm. I didn't know they still made Quaaludes.
it's a west coast environmental haphazard
Come on - Dan Lekaf Z'chus
At that stage - when the shooter had just been identified - he just repeated what ABC said
Furthermore, he couldn't be sure he was a Moslem even if the name was right. Still less could he really tell the motive.
He might also have been afraid of saying it was islamic terrorism because it was supposedly a mistake in the case of the Oklahoma bombing. (The case is not so clear that it wasn't. Terry Nichols spent some time in the Phillipines in the same city where "Ramzi Youssef" got off the plane where he'd left a small bomb that ater killed a japanese passenger) and left a message in Las vegas to be opened only in the case of his death by his ex-wife, Lana Padilla who opened it up anyway that said basically that Timothy McVeigh should continue. Nichols may have received training in explosives from Ramzi Youssef you see. Actually there is eve something else I don't want to mention at this point - but it did knock the Waco hearings off their course and Clinton somehow was very certain it had to do with Waco when he should not have been. there was that key to a safe deposiut box in Hot springs Arkansas that terry Nichols had and neither he nor McVeigh could have committed the robbery where it was supposedly taken. and then i think about the visit of Benazir Bhutto - and her entourage - on April 10 and 11 1995...)
As it turned out all kinds of information was wrong the first day. The shooter was NOT dead. he did not get shot by a woman. He was not a Moslem convert - although he had not listed any religion when he enlisted (Or perhaps not requested religious services whatever the question is)
It also turns out it was wrong that he had made some formal attempt - or any attempt that anybody knows - to gte out of the army.
So anyway it was reasonable for LGF not to do anything more than pass on what he had heard.
What happened later on LGF?
