SNAFU: Situation Normal All Fired Up

At 9:12 Friday morning:

The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service evacuated five people from Sderot to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon following a Kassam strike near the western Negev town on Friday morning. One person suffered light shrapnel wounds. The others were treated for shock.


At 9:27:

One of seven Kassam rockets launched by terrorists in the northern part of Hamas-controlled Gaza hit a power pole next to a house in the western Negev city of Sderot on Friday morning. The house was damaged and a high school student was treated for shock.

The attack brings to ten the number of Kassams launched at Israeli targets in Gaza area communities on Friday.


At 9:34:

A 70-year-old woman from Sderot who underwent a cardiac incident was one of those evacuated from Sderot following Friday morning's rocket attack. She was reported in light condition at Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon.

The HNN website reports that a number of cars in Sderot were damaged. Additional property damage was reported in a nearby community.


And

An Israel Air Force aircraft fired a missile at gunmen in the Gaza Strip on Friday, wounding two of them, after a rocket and a mortar fired from the coastal territory explouded south of Ashkelon.

An IDF spokesman confirmed there had been an air strike after the firing from Gaza at Israel on Friday.
