Shootings leave 3 dead, several wounded on West Bank of Jefferson Parish

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office has been dealing with a rash of violence on the West Bank in the past week that includes three homicides and several shootings, and officials are still looking for suspects and motives in several of the cases.
Sgt. Larry Dyess, a Sheriff's Office spokesman, said officials don't believe at this time that any of the homicides are connected, and the Sheriff's Office does not release details on non-fatal shootings. Two of the fatal shootings were in Terrytown, and the third was in Harvey.
The most recent shooting involved Timothy Lemon, 24, who was found dead in a Terrytown driveway in the 700 block of Frisella Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday, according to Dyess. Deputies responded to a report of shots fired, and found Lemon's body, along with spent shell casings at a nearby intersection...

Westbank shooting suspect captured - Suspect was barricaded in Westbank home
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado — Trained negotiators from Rifle and Silt were on their way to the Westbank subdivision at 5:30 p.m. Monday to deal with a shooting suspect who is barricaded in a home on Westbank Drive, according to Garfield County Sheriff's spokeswoman Tanny McGinnis. She reported that earlier in the afternoon shots were fired at a law enforcement officer, but no one has been injured.
Some neighbors in the area have been evacuated from their homes, and others have been advised to stay inside.
Westbank is south of Glenwood Springs and west of the Roaring Fork River.
