Last Night in Synagogue

The alert siren went off just as I was finishing reciting the last words of the Kaddish at the end of the Mincha prayer as the chazan.

By the time I took off my tallit and turned around, half the synagogue was already moving to our shelter.

The shelter serves as the synagogue for our Yeminite minyan.

Never have so many Ashkenazi Jews, in Shiloh anyway, been in a Yeminite minyan.
