Gilad at NYU Has A Few Opinions. So Do I

I left this comment:

Two short comments:

(a) in writing " In the name of "security," inexcusable actions...", one should be aware that there is a collorary: that in the name of "resistance", inexcusable actions are committed. Not only "inexcusable" but morally heinous and moreover, engaging in such actions can nullify one's own "rights". The Arab opposition to Zionism and the establishment of a Jewish homeland anywhere in what they considered their country from 1920 until today was violent and terroristic. Civilians were the almost exclusive targets of rape, pillage and murder. Pogroms and riots throughout, in 1920, 1921, 1929, 1936-1939, 1947-49, the fedayeen and then the PLO, established in 1964, three years before the Six Days War - what "Palestine" did they intend "liberating" if at that time there was no "conquest", no "occupation", no "territories"?

(b) and in writing "The only Israelis living legally are those within pre-1967 borders" besides being awkardly constructed as to syntax (Israelis legally live everywhere, including at NYU dorms), reveals a misuse of international law (which itself is an impractical code in that only the weak have to obey it). Jews lived in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, the current "disputed territories", throughout history and were not to be found there after 1948 only due to acts of Arab ethnic cleansing. Jews lived in Jenin, Nablus (Shchem), Gaza, Hebron, Gush Etzion, Beit HaAravah, Neveh Yaakov, Atarot and Jerusalem's Old City for centuries and paradoxically, only the British Mandate regime 'permitted' ther Arabs to enagage in violence to dislodge them from ancient and newer homes.

But shall we now call Arab locations of residency in pre-67 Israel as "settlements" and suggest a tit for tat: if Jews have to leave their homes, then Arabs may be required to move into "Palestine", if established? Wouldn't that be fair? That way, the populations are separated and now future wars or terror. Right? Or is this immoral and if so, why only for Arabs?
