This Monday morning, human rights workers from the Free Gaza Movement will accompany fishermen from Gaza City as they venture out to assert their right to fish their own coastal waters. The aim of these internationals will be to record and document the continued harassment of the Palestinian fishermen, and the arbitrary attacks and threats to which they are
subjected. It is hoped that their presence will also act as some form of deterrent to these abuses.
The scope of the campaign extends beyond Gaza City all the way along Gaza's coast. Human Rights Workers may be present on any Gazan fishing boat, at any time from this point onward. The boats on which they are present will not be specially marked.
If this boat operation is not going to get us all 'seasick', I hope someone in government is giving this matter some thought.
Wow. Update:-
At 9:45 am (CEST) news came in that several Israeli vessels are firing on a Palestinian fishing boat with six "Free Gaza" peace activists on board. The activists called from the boat. On the other end in Cyprus the gunfire was said to be audible in the background. The boat had gone out fishing this dawn, the passengers are unarmed and in Gazan waters. The international peace activists on board are George from Greece, Donna and Darlene (USA), Adam from Denmark, Andrew from Scotland and Vik from Italy. Inform your embassies, more news follow. If the update is true - well, good. Knock them out of the water. The problem that our very stupid, galut-mentality-ridden government didn't see from the get-go was that these moonbats intend on creating at sea what they have created on land at Naalin.
And just like their land-based activities, these terror supporters will also use all the Pallywood tactics they can muster.
