The three Palestinians, all from Jenin, were detained and transferred to the police for questioning. A search of their car yielded a pistol loaded with a single bullet, as well as plastic zip-tie handcuffs. Police sources said that the abduction attempt was probably the work of an "amateur" terror call.
Ahem. Amateur is irrelevant. The results, the horrific results that were averted yesterday, are what count as well as the efforts made by the police and others to prevent such situations from developing, either at an amateurish or professional level.
A year ago, everyone from Haaretz to the NYTimes, belittled the Kassam missiles and now look what has developed.
