Jabotinsky's London Residence

From 1915 and until the beginning of 1918, Ze'ev Jabotinsky resided in London in order to promote the idea of a Jewish fighting force within the British Army that would participate in the campaign in Ottoman Palestine. It finally was authorized in the summer of 1917 and the announcement was published in the London Gazette on August 23, 1917.

During the years 1915 - 1917, Jabotinsky lived on Justice Walk and for two months, Chaim Weizmann moved in to share lodgings. During 1917, Yosef Trumpeldor moved in for a while.

How'd They Get Away?

I know Golders Green well. Lived there two years and have been back a dozen times.

Caught this (via Atlas Shrugs) and I have a question:

A gang of pro-Palestinian demonstrators rampaged through the heart of the Jewish community on Wednesday evening, attacking businesses and assaulting a motorist.

Police and the CST have increased patrols and security following the incidents in Golders Green, North-West London, amid concerns of further trouble during Shabbat.

The group of around 15 men had been demonstrating in support of Palestinians in Gaza but then made their way along Golders Green Road, attacking the man as he got into his car.

They attempted to gain access to a number of kosher restaurants and Jewish businesses, and at one point entered Solly’s restaurant, but were thrown out by staff and diners.

Despite officers arriving in the area quickly, the gang was able to escape on the Tube.

How did they get away?

Golders Green is full of Jews. Loads of stores. Eateries. Shops.

They need to be not only more vigilant but more responsive.

London Bomb - Islamic?

Car bomb found in central London

Police say the area will be closed for some time. Police have disabled a car bomb containing gas cylinders in the heart of central London.

Can't be the IRA as they've made peace.
