Who Do You Believe?

Version One:

JERUSALEM, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Israel could freeze its settlement activity in the occupied West Bank for nine months or so as part of a U.S. effort to restart peace talks with the Palestinians, an Israeli government official said on Friday.

Version Two:

RAMALLAH, West Bank — US Middle East envoy George Mitchell told Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas that he has failed to strike a key deal on a settlement halt with Israel, a senior official said on Friday.

"Mitchell told us he did not reach an agreement with the Israelis on freezing settlements," Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat told reporters after Mitchell held talks with Abbas in the West Bank city of Ramallah.

Frankly, I don't believe ether. None of them are telling the truth to anyone and they are all trying to manipulate each other and the rest of the world. But, if the result is that while they are playing word games we can continue to put down facts on the ground by establishing our possession of our land, this is all for the best.
