2. Summary. The Bureau of International Information Programs (IIP) has assembled a range of innovative and traditional tools to support Posts' outreach activities during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

This cable highlights these tools and requests Posts to report on use of IIP programs and products for Ramadan programming to Regional Bureau PD offices and IIP Geographic Office Directors. This year, Ramadan will begin on or about August 21 and will end with Eid al-Fitr celebrations on or about September 19. Ramadan and Eid dates differ among countries. Post should refer to local religious authorities to confirm dates. Please note that as IIP is moving to new office space over the next two months, some phone numbers listed in this cable will change.
