Israeli officials said they were allowing dozens of Palestinians with foreign passports to escape the fighting. The army spokesman Peter Lerner said the fleeing Palestinians held citizenship from a number of other countries, including the US, Russia, Turkey and Kazakhstan.

"Promote peace! Not hate and fear!"
Wow that's a great and novel idea! I am all for it, well except for one little problem. It NEVER works when the intent is one sided. When the people who call themselves Palestinians really want peace and not just the annihilation of everything Jewish then will be the time to promote peace. Until then calls for peace and cease fires are just excuses to give the hate filled Islamiscts
a chance to regroup and rearm. Falling for that has been a problem for real peace loving peoples of the past. I hope and pray Israel doesn't fall for it again.
I am not suggesting that Israel is solely at fault in this conflict. There is blood on Israel and Palestine hands.Israel has Zionist, Palestine has Hamas. So both shouldn't be posing as solely victims here.
Yet it's time to shift the focus from what went wrong and move forward to find solution for this mess.
