Not A Very Balanced Program

I've reviewed the names of the participants and couldn't identify any right-of-center person who supports Jewish rights on and to the Temple Mount of this 'conference':

On the other hand, my friend, Danny Seidman, is quite a radical progressive, from Peace Now and Ir Shalem which morphed into Ir Amim. Salim Tamari was a former PLO 'militant'.

Supported by Norway's Foreign Ministry, you note.

Salim Tamari? He is a professor at my school (UC Berkeley) and he is a very friendly, interesting person. What evidence do you have that he was a terrorist?

Why, whyzee9, do you use the word "terrorist" when I wrote 'militant'? Do you mean that actually a militant really is a terrorist after all?

Anyway, heard of the IPS, the The Institute for Palestine Studies? It was established in Beirut in 1963 by the people who founded the PLO and was one of its arms in generating material, promoted as academic, to support the various elements of Palestinian radical ideology that generated the terror of 1964 onwards.

Tamari, Salim Tamari is the director of the Institute for Jerusalem Studies (an institution affiliated to the Institute for Palestine Studies since September 1994.

That I would consider to be Pal. militancy

Ok, I think that is a bit of a stretch.

To answer your question, it makes no difference to me whether you use the word terrorist or militant. What I wanted to know was if he was involved in violent activities against Israel or Jews. It appears the answer is no.
