‘Delegates spent N91bn at Shiloh, Holy Ghost Congress’
ABOUT N90.94 billion was spent by delegates who attended the two yearly Christian international religious conferences of the Living Faith Church known as Shiloh 2007 and the Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) held in December.
According to a statistical summary report of questionaires administered on delegates to these conferences by the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), 7,526,966 delegates attended the two conference with 10,268 foreign delegates.
The report revealed that Shiloh 2007 attracted three million delegates with 9,000 from 34 countries of which 14 are from Africa and 20 from Europe, America and Asia.
The statistics also showed that the foreign delegates spent $10.7million (N1.345 billion) on accommodation and feeding at $170 per day in seven days at Shiloh while $1.52 million (N190 million) was recorded at the Holy Ghost Congress at $150 per day for eight days.
This sounds intersting.
So I looked for more info.
I found it here:-
It is another time of spiritual rejuvenation, abundant blessings and miracles as the Canaanland, the headquarters of Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a. Winners’ Chapel in Ota, Ogun State, plays host to millions of worshippers for this year’s Shiloh. Holding between Tuesday, 11 and 15 December, the yearly programme, which marks the convention of the church presided over by the renowned Bishop David Oyedepo, has as its theme: More than Conquerors.
...Bishop Oyedepo has what to give. He can be likened to the Biblical Isaac, who dug wells. At one time, they even contended with him and called the place Esek, meaning contention. "He named the second one Sitnah, meaning hatred. Isaac dug another well, and this time, the people said whatever we have done to you, it doesn't work and so, we will leave it for you. So he named it, Rehoboth, meaning a place of rest." Then, he continued: "If you know the story of Bishop Oyedepo you will know that people have burnt his books on television to try to make him stop. When he went to Shiloh (Canaanland), everybody said the place is too far from Lagos and that he would go under.
But in Shiloh, there is a city today. God, indeed, has brought His servant to a place of rest, to impact his generation through him and to impact the world."
Gee, would that half that number come to Shiloh, Israel where that city is.
Maybe someone should contact the Bishop?
